Paul Wadsworth

Paul’s abstract paintings, which take inspiration from the wild Cornish landscape or from his travels in the Middle East, are known for their experimentation with colour, texture, narrative, the figure and magical space.

His impressive body of work has been exhibited throughout the UK and internationally in a series of solo and mixed exhibitions, and is held in private collections at home and abroad.

Paul studied at Ipswich College of Arts (Art and Design) and at University College Falmouth (Fine Art). He has been selected as a finalist for the Hunting Prize, involved in stage set design for Glastonbury festival and for theatre production, as well as having visualised and created two children’s books.

Paul is a member of the Newlyn Society of Artists and lives and works in Cornwall at Studios in Trewidden Gardens and Porthtowan, while continuing to travel to the Middle East.
